Getting Started

What is Kingdoms?

The gameplay of Kingdoms has loose ties to factions, but with more emphasis on survival. The game has some very notable differences however. Each "Kingdom" is a group of claims you or another player makes on the server. However, there is a twist. Each Kingdom has a Kingdom Core. If an enemy player or kingdom destroys it, all your claims in that world are destroyed! Ensure that you have ample protection around your core.

In addition to defending your core, you can also create farms, sell resources, etc. to earn money to obtain Kingdom Gold to purchase claims, core health, and increase your Kingdom Worth and also to purchase kingdom-wide upgrades! You can then use these upgrades to explore beyond the overworld and explore the Moon, Mars, and beyond!

Your Kingdom's worth is basically how valuable your kingdom is. You can do /k worths to get a list of all the worths on the server. The more valuable blocks you place inside your claim as well as the more Kingdom Gold you have, the higher the worth increases for your kingdom. To view the top kingdoms with the most worth, do /k top! To purchase better kingdom upgrades, you need to have a high kingdom level and worth!

Keep in mind that 1 Kingdom Gold is equal to $100. You can purchase more kingdom gold in the Core Menu.

The further out you explore in the cosmos, the more mysteries you will unveil. Who knows, humanity may not be alone?

Quick Start

To quickly begin your Kingdoms Journey, first in spawn, go down to the overworld drop-down pit. You will then be instantly teleported to a random location. Walk around for a while, and get some basic resources to survive. Once you found a safe place to settle and create your kingdom, you can then type /k create <Name> to create a kingdom. A beacon block will then be placed beneth your feet. This is also where you will spawn when you do /k home.

The beacon block that was just placed beneath you is your kingdom core, it is super important to protect it to your best ability, as if an enemy kingdom destroys your core, all your kingdom claims fall alongside it, as well as your Kingdom Home. Be careful!

You can right-click the core menu to open up several different menus, you can click each menu here to see what they exactly do:

  • Kingdom Gold menu
  • Kingdom Upgrades Menu
  • Core Upgrades Menu
  • Member Menu
  • Claims Menu

To claim additional land, you can do /k claim to claim a chunk of land, and /k unclaim to unclaim a chunk of land. By default you start off with 5 free claims, however you can upgrade this limit in the Core Upgrades Menu.

Earning Money

Earning money on kingdoms might be a bit confusing at first, however essentially the best way to get started is by making a small simple farm. These can range from sugarcane, wool, wheat, melons, mobs, and more. Any sellable items can be sold at their respective location at the /spawn shops for profit. They can also be sold in Sell Chests and instantly with Sell Wands.

Once you earn enough money, you can then buy your first pieces of Kingdom Gold. After saving up enough Kingdom Gold, you can go into the Kingdom Upgrades Menu and purchase a Level 1 generator for 10 Kingdom Gold. This generator generates $10 every 10 seconds, and will help you out especially during your early phases of your kingdom. It's still a good idea to have farms though as they generally will make significantly more money compared to just generators alone.

Some things that sell pretty well in the shop:

  • Sugarcane
  • Rotten Flesh
  • Bones
  • Gold Ingots
  • Wheat
  • Cactus

If you try and make a farm or two that generates these items, you should be making money in no time.

You can increase the revenue you are making by adding on more farms. Later on, consider purchasing a Sell Chest to help automatically sell your items without always going to the Spawn shop all the time.

Stealing Gold & Destroying Cores
